Go In Like A Wrecking Ball.

We hear the State of Texas has been throwing indictments around for folks that abuse their power and whatnot. So, as not to risk sounding too coercive, we won't go as far as to say you have to do one of the following things tonight. Sure, it'd be cool if you did, but whatever you decide is totally up to you. — Cory Graves

Steve Wozniak at the University of North Texas
The Silicon Valley icon, Apple co-founder and noted Midlake fan comes to the band's turf to give a speaking gig at the hometown university. Hear all about the Apple I and Apple II and, just maybe, why The Trials of Van Occupanther is so underrated. But save your troubleshooting concerns for the folks at the Genius Bar: Woz and Apple parted ways in 1987. — Pete Freedman

One-Minute Play Festival at Kitchen Dog Theater
Too A.D.D. for most theater? For the first year ever, New York's One-Minute Play Festival theater company is bringing its super short play concept to Dallas. Here's your chance to up your local theater quotient for the year by at least 30 — and in less time than it takes to watch an episode of Glee. — CG

North Texas Fair & Rodeo at North Texas State Fairgrounds
Big Tex may not be making an appearance at this one — and you probably won't be able find any fried butter either, for that matter. “Some fair this sounds like,” you're probably saying to yourself sarcastically. Still, this event has taken place annually in Denton for the past 85 years now, drawing an average of 100,000 visitors during its annual, nine-day run. — CG

Brave Young Lion, The Singles, She Banshee and Science for Giants at The Prophet Bar
Did The Prophet Bar not get the memo that kick-ass rock shows only happen on weekends? Guess not, because the lineup they have planned tonight looks pretty sweet. It's cool, we're not sticklers for rules, anyways. And Monday nights usually suck, so starting the week with guitar-infused awesomeness is always a plus. The Singles, Brave Young Lion and She Banshee will definitely give us a few reasons to end up as “that guy who won't quit humming catchy riffs” at work this week. Science for Giants is the wildcard of the bunch: This show marks the band's first gig, so it's unsure how often we'll be seeing their faces after this one. — Chris Escarfullery

Wrecking Ball Wrestling at Sons of Hermann Hall
Local Am-Pro wresting foundation Wrecking Ball Wrestling is throwing a benefit to help a fellow wrestler's kidney transplant expenses. Local wrestlers attending: Billy Club, Necro Butcher, Lumberjack Tony Lumberjack Martin, Abu and Texas Brody James, along with more surprises throughout the night. Come out and watch these guys trash talk and fake beat each other up for a good cause. — Chase Whale
