Joshaa Shines Up His Grit.
Name: Joshaa Flores.
Age: 37.
Occupation: “I do make-up and hair for print and production. Whatever pays.”
Found: Ricardo Paniagua's goodbye show at the Latino Cultural Center.
What are you wearing? “I am wearing my Joan Rivers swag. My friend gave me this blazer. My top is from a thrift store. My jeans I've had for years and years and years. My boots were given to me whenever I was homeless. This belt was my grandfather's belt when he was a tween.”
How would you describe your sense of style? “Shiny and gritty.”
What inspires your fashion choices? “Life experiences. I used to be a squatter punk rocker. So I make a lot of things my own and things are given to me a lot. I love glam and punk rock.”
Tell me more about your hair. “The hair was inspired by Farrah Fawcett. But this would be my drag queen name: Farrah Fossil. Because that bitch is dead. I reincarnated her through my hair.”
