Erykah Badu Can't Get Over The Fact That Her Newscast Crash Attempt Has Gone Viral.

Erykah Badu is no different from anyone else.

Just like the rest of us, the iconic Dallas singer too thought her crashing of a live newscast last week was hilarious.

“I keep watching it,” Badu tells Central Track, now a few days removed from the clip of her newscast crash going viral. “I can't get over it.”

She's not alone, of course. Over the past few days, news of her antics has been reported on by staffers at Us Weekly, People, The Huffington Post, Complex, E! and Stereogum, among many others.

And, hey, it's not hard to see why. It's a fun watch, seeing Badu mill about in the background of the report before coming in for a kiss with the unaware reporter — especially in light of it being a report about the odd antics of a celebrity, in this case Shia LaBeouf.

Check it out:

More than anything, Badu say she's most charmed by the fact that, after the clip went viral, the reporter in question, New York City station PIX11's Mario Diaz., eventually tweeted at her, finally getting into the fun of things after spurning her advances on live television:

That, to a degree, was her only goal. Her stunt wasn't planned, nor did she have any real motives in it.

She was just trying to have a little fun is all.

“I didn't expect anything,” Badu says. “I was just passing by.”

As such, she says she's not too depressed about the fact that her kiss offer got turned down.

“The push didn't offend me,” Badu says of the rejection between laughs. “But I know when I'm not wanted.”
