Make It The Best Week Ever.

Feeling down now that all the hoopla leading up to tonight's NCAA men's basketball championship has begun to die down? Well, scientists recommend that you pick up some Special K tonight.

Honest.

Of course, if illegal drugs aren't exactly your thing, you could always just revel in the fact that you live in Dallas, where the good times are never truly over.

NCAA Men's Basketball Championship at AT&T Stadium
Tonight's matchup of the seventh-seeded UConn and the eighth-seeded Kentucky is one of the unlikeliest finals in NCAA tournament history. Every year since 1985, at least one of the teams playing in the championship game was a three seed or better. And, according to Yahoo!, only 0.7 percent of people that filled out brackets on their site correctly predicted this matchup. That is to say, on some level, history will be made tonight. — Cory Graves

Iron Reagan at Three Links
With nearly every song on its 2013 debut LP clocking in around the minute-and-a-half mark, Iron Reagan churned out an effort capable of bringing together the subtly diverse punk, thrash, and hardcore crowds. It also explains why there are so many bands on this Monday night bill. Regardless, their quick rise to popularity can also be partly attributed to the fact that the band consists of members of well-established acts Municipal Waste and Darkest Hour. Occultist, Steel Bearing Hand, Tricounty Terror and Releaser open. — CG

Saintseneca at Dan's Silverleaf
Unlike his Appalachian ancestry might have dictated, Saintseneca bandleader Zac Little decided to make the familiar sounds of the rural hill country in a direction all his own. The banjos are present and accounted for, sure, but so too are things like synthesizers, electric guitars, and an unabashed post-punk influence from acts like Violent Femmes and Neutral Milk Hotel. Blessed Feathers and Nite open. — CG

Doug Benson at Hyena's (Dallas)
It's no secret that Doug Benson is quite the movie lover. Aside from hosting the popular Doug Loves Movies podcast, he's also starred in a few himself. 2007's Super High Me — Morgan Spurlock-style parody that saw him smoking weed for 30 days in a row – is one that immediately comes to mind. Hell, he was even sitting front row center for a screening of Jurassic Park at Alamo Drafthouse last night, although that appearance was admittedly for heckling purposes. Anyway, while he'll probably touch on movies in his stand-up set tonight, just know going in that he has a few other markedly absurdist tricks up his sleeve as well. — CG
