In The Debut Of Our New Video Series, See The Magic Behind Gabe Sanchez's Black Swan Saloon.
Welcome to Another Round, a new, recurring video feature here on Central Track in which we meet and attempt to get inside the heads of the most interesting bartenders in Dallas.
For our kickoff episode of this new series, we met up with Gabe Sanchez, the owner and head bartender of Deep Ellum's Black Swan Saloon (2708 Elm Street).
Since opening his spot in early 2010, Sanchez, a former ultralounge bartender from Los Angeles, has capably established himself as one of the top bartenders in the city — and not just because he's inventive with his drinks or because (as you'll soon see) he's conscious about the ingredients he uses in his cocktails.
Sanchez, ultimately, is a people person. As he sees it, that's what a good bartender needs to be, first and foremost. And, as you can see for yourself in the below video, for which Sanchez was kind enough to let us follow him around for an afternoon, that methodology has treated him well.
Check out our first episode of Another Round below. We hope you dig it.
