Lord Huron at Trees (Sold Out)
Though they only released their proper debut back in 2012, there's something about LA transplants Lord Huron that sounds instantly familiar. The rustic, natural beats and reliance on acoustic guitars, harmonicas and maracas might not break much new ground, but it has helped the band earn the distinction as one of indie-folk's biggest names going. — Porschia Paxton

Hayes Carll at Double Wide (Sold Out)
We're guessing this is probably the smallest room Carll has played in town in quite some time. It'll probably one of the most fun, as well. It should be noted that Carll's appearance in this small-ish Deep Ellum space is less a signal that his star has begun to fade somewhat and more based on the fact that he'll be playing four shows at four separate venues while he's in town this week. Finding enough folks willing to shell out $20 to attend this one is definitely not going to be a problem.– CG
The Eagles at American Airlines Center
After three years off, The Eagles are finally back on tour again and will be playing in Dallas the next two nights. Like the History of the Eagles documentary on the band that was released last year, tonight's setlist and between-song story-telling offerings are intended to take fans on a trip through — you guessed it — the band's history. And, like most Eagles tours the past couple of decades, there are rumors that this one might be the band's last. Of course, that's also what they said when they came through town last October. — Jordyn Walters
Snarky Puppy at Hailey's
The Denton heroes and recent Grammy-winning jazz outfit are playing their second hometown gig in as many days. And you might want to grab tickets to this one sooner rather than waiting to pay at the door, as the bar's owners have indicated that, like so many other shows tonight, this one is already close to selling out. Oh, and earlier in the day — like around 2 p.m. to be exact — the band will hold a panel discussion around the corner at Dan's to talk about that Grammy win, among other things. — CG
Food Truck Night at Good Records
When Good Records threw their first ever Humpday Food Truck Festivus last month, they hinted that, if things went well enough, they'd consider potentially turning it into a monthly offering. That said, take tonight's gathering — that'll feature the Easy Slider, Vegan Noms, Doughboy Pizza and Mo' Joe food trucks, plus performances from Taylor Young of The O's and Howler Jr. — as a sign that there'll be at least a few more of these things in the months to come. — CG
Augustines at Cambridge Room
Augustines is made up of half of New York-based indie rock outfit Pela. In fact, the band's 2011 debut was mostly made up of songs intended for a Pela release before that band's demise. In the years since, the band relocated to Seattle, changed their name to We Are Augustines after they realized how many other bands there were called Augustines, then changed their name back after figuring they were probably a bit more successful than all the other Augustines. Now their journey brings them to the House of Blues' small room. — CG

Joining Paul “Spitting Off The Dome” Slavens at his regular Lower Greenville residency this week are special guests Orgullo Primitivo and former Plano resident Daniel Francis Doyle. Unlike the headliner, we're guessing tonight's guests will, for the most part, write their songs before the show starts. — CG

Neiman Marcus Spring Trend Report Event at Willow Bend Mall
Capping off their week-long Spring Trend event, Dallas' most well-known store will host a fashion trend presentation from some of Dallas' most well-known fashion bloggers, among them Amy Havins, Lauren Scruggs, and Allison Edwards. As a bonus, there'll also be free grub from Taverna Rossa, beats courtesy of DJ Jose Guevara, and a chance to win a Jetsetter giveaway. — PP
