Watch In Awe As A Guy Swishes A Basketball From Reunion Tower Into A Hoop On The Ground Below.

Since 2009, a crew of Texas A&M alumni known as Dude Perfect has turned a lunchtime bet into a basketball trick-shot empire, earning themselves over two million subscribers to their YouTube channel and nearly 190 million combined views for a series of videos that show the “dudes” banking all manner of impossible basketball shots from hundreds of feet away from the basket, off of the roofs of stadiums or through the use of ridiculous props.

This admittedly impressive hobby has become something of a full-time career for the members of the outfit, who've appeared on dozens of television shows, written books and even used their videos to promote products for companies such as Pizza Hut, Southwest Airlines and GMC, just to name a few.

But more recently — as in yesterday — Dude Perfect posted an incredible, ballsy video of one of its members violently chunking a basketball from Reunion Tower's recently re-opened observation deck into a goal held up by two other Dude Perfect-ers more than 500 feet below.

Whether this impresses you more than when the guys successfully sank shots from the Goodyear Blimp or an airplane in mid-flight, the bravery of the guys holding the hoop is pretty undeniable. Just think: The ball, which Sports Grid calculated as traveling at speeds upwards of 80 miles-per-hour as it approached the ground, surely would have resulted in a pretty lethal rebound for the team members below had even the slightest misalignment occurred.

Impressive as it is, the video is far from Dude Perfect's first time shooting trick shot videos in the area. Here are some videos of the guys doing their thing at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Texas Motor Speedway, Dallas Love Field and American Airlines Center.

Anyway, this much is for sure: Their efforts give a whole new meaning to the phrase “from way downtown.”
