Ty Segall, Dum Dum Girls, The Coathangers and More Among First 2013 Spillover Festival Announces.

35 Denton might be on hiatus in 2014, but North Texas' other favorite March music tradition is still pushing forward — and arguably stronger than ever, at that.

Late last night, local talent buying agency Parade of Flesh announced the initial round of performers slated to play its annual Spillover Festival, which this year will take place across two Deep Ellum stages — Club Dada and Three Links — on Sunday, March 16. (Last year, you may recall, the festival went down on the other end of the neighborhood, over at the Double Wide and the nearby Sandbar Cantina & Grill.)

Among the acts playing this year's “Sunday after SXSW” showcase are psych-popper Ty Segall (who, coincidentally, served as something of a savior of 35 Denton in 2013), dream poppers Dum Dum Girls (who also performed at that 2012 35 Denton affair), freestyle scientist and forever semi-local Astronautalis (who co-headlined last month's Oaktopia Festival in Denton), punk rockers The Coathangers (veterans of Spillover '12 and 35 Denton '13, alike), perennial Parade of Flesh favorites Diarrhea Planet, and, maybe the only band with a worse name than Diarrhea Planet, Brooklyn punk outfit Cerebral Ballzy.

Advance tickets for the day-long bash are available here for $19.99, with NIP (read: Not Important Passes) tickets going for $39.99.

We're not yet sure exactly what, if anything, comes with NIP access, but we do know that more performers will be announced in the coming months and weeks. For now, you can check out the 2013 Spillover Festival bill, as announced thus far, below.
