Scenes From Friday Night's Pop That Party with DJ Sega at the It'll Do Club.
For the third month in a row, Pop That, our collaborative bash with DJ Sober, took over the seemingly always sweaty climes of the It'll Do Club on Friday, with Philadelphia party-starter DJ Sega joining in on the fun as the special guest.
And, much as anticipated thanks to Sega's presence, it was a rather schizophrenic sonic affair. Sega's got the high-energy concept on lock, and his set of all-original remixes was an unrelenting one; to call his set “Jock Jams on crack” only begins to properly describe the madness. And, below in this space, photographer Jonathan Stafford offers some insight into the visual craziness of the night, too.
One final note before letting you go: We will not be hosting Pop That in December — at least not on the first Friday of the month, as the It'll Do Club's long been booked for that date for a set featuring house icon Sasha. Stay tuned, though, for an update coming soon on the Pop That front — possibly as early as this week.
We've got a few more tricks up our sleeves and can't wait to tell you what's coming next.
