Pursue Some Happiness With Kid Cudi.

Want to feel significantly more attractive before the night is over? The answer, according to this Ig Nobel-winning study is beer.

The fact that your fellow bar patrons become increasingly more good-looking the closer it gets to closing time isn't really a secret at this point. (Beer goggles, anyone?) The thing about this study, though, is that is the first to show that not only do drunk folks think everybody around them is prettier, but they also feel more attractive themselves.

Just something to think about while you're Crossfitting later. I mean, why work so hard just to see marginal results over a long period of time when you can throw back a few tonight and feel hotter pretty much right away?

Perception really is everything.

Bon Jovi at American Airlines Center
For the second time this year, Bon Jovi's “Because We Can” tour will bring the arena rock outfit to our own American Airlines Center. It may or may not surprise you that the band's huge 2013 also saw the release of its third consecutive No. 1 album. With oft-troubled guitarist Richie Sambora out of rehab and back into the fold for this current leg of the tour, expect a healthy blend of new tunes and, of course, plenty of the classics. — Jordyn Walters

Kid Cudi, Big Sean and Logic at Verizon Theatre
The Grammy-winning hip-hop artist and frequent Kanye West collaborator Kid Cudi rose to fame following a bit of kismet — well, sort of, anyway. While working at the BAPE store in New York City, Cudi sold West a jacket and forgot to remove the security tag, meaning he had to chase the Yeezus rapper down the street just to take it off. Somewhere along the way, he also slipped West a demo and ended up building a relationship with the enigmatic performer, signing to his G.O.O.D. Music label and releasing the double-platinum Day 'n' Nite. His current “The Cud Life” tour also boasts G.O.O.D. Music labelmate Big Sean and RattPack member Logic. — JW

Trillwave at The Boiler Room
The special guests at tonight's edition of this weekly dance party are members of Austin DJ collective Mad Classy (Sharkweek, JE, and Chango), who've amassed over 25 years of DJ experience between them. As always, resident DJs Trailer Swift and Dubble A will get things started. — CG

Paul Slavens at Crown and Harp
Guzzle down some $3 wells and domestics as pianist and KXT radio host Paul Slavens turns your zaniest song suggestion titles into all-out songs on the spot for a tip. — Pete Freedman
