Scenes From Friday's You Me at Six and Cute Is What We Aim For Show at Prophet Bar.

Five-piece British pop-rock outfit You Me at Six is no stranger to Dallas. Neither is like-minded Buffalo outfit Cute Is What We Aim For.

Both bands, it feels like, have been playing Dallas for years.

Still, Friday night's sets from these bands felt special regardless — perhaps a result of the fact that this show in the big room of the Prophet Bar was doubling as the tour kickoff for these bands' new tour of the States.

To that end, it was a successful night, a successful kickoff to the tour: Crowds lined up early for a chance to take in the spectacle as closely as possible, and each of the bands on the bill, including opening act Conditions from Richmond, Virginia, responded in kind with a high-energy offering.

Sure, the headliners may have been through town before. But their set on Friday night just felt bigger and better than anything Dallas audiences had yet seen from this group.
