Oh, Really?

Oprah Will Be In Dallas Tomorrow.

Today, Oprah Winfrey is in Washington, D.C., taking part in the festivities surrounding the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s “I Have Dream.” But tomorrow — tomorrow! — the most powerful woman in the entertainment world will be in Dallas.

Cue this, I suppose.

Winfrey will be in town to take part in pastor T.D. Jakes' three-day MegaFest at the American Airlines. She'll take part in two separate two-hour conversations with the head of The Potter's House's 30,000-member strong congregation: The first of these “lifeclass” sessions goes down at 9 a.m.; the second immediately follows at 11 a.m. Tickets are still available for purchase here, but fair warning: They're not cheap.

Anyway, Winfrey's only in town tomorrow, but she's hardly the only celeb booked for the weekend-long deal. Among the other bold-faced names set to appear: comedians Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer and Robert Townsend, TV host Kevin Frazier (The Insider), actor Anthony Mackie (Papa Doc in 8 Mile!), actress Holly Robinson Peete, and singers Babyface and Jennifer Hudson.

Still, with apologies to Jennifer Hudson, Oprah remains Oprah, so she wins this informal competition by default.
