Needless to say, the party responsible for that bonehead move likely has a lot more free time on their hands as of today.

Pet Shop Boys at Majestic Theatre
What a run it's been for the once-pretty-barren Majestic Theatre of late. This month alone, the historic venue will have played host to a week-long run for Conan O'Brien, a Kids in the Hall reunion, and this performance from the most successful duo in UK music history. Aside from being prominently featured in the DIFF-debuted The Starck Club film, this show comes almost exactly 30 years to the day that “West End Girls” was released, to boot. — Cory Graves
Sex Tide at Vice Palace
The debut Dallas performance from the Columbus, Ohio-based DIY art-punk project Sex Tide also marks the inaugural show at the new Trinity Groves warehouse space Vice Palace. Like nearby warehouse/art space Ware:wolf:haus, the out-there and sometimes experimental live performances at Vice Palace will be curated by local provocateur Arthur Peña. Just know going in: You'll need to bring along your own alcohol, as well as $5 to pay the touring bands. — CG
5 Seconds of Summer at House of Blues (Sold Out)
5 Seconds of Summer have been called “the One Direction of Australia,” which is pretty fair considering the band's tussled 'dos and the fact that its members range in age from 17 to 19. Oh, and then there's the fact that 1D's Niall Horan is credited with discovering them. Still, we'd argue that the fact that these guys all play instruments — and that they write their own songs — makes them not so much as a boy band as it does, well, just a band. We'd expect more than a few screaming tween girls will have secured permission to stay up past their bed times to attend this one just the same. — CG
Tuesday Night Tease at Sue Ellen's
Sure, there are plenty of other weekly drag events that go on in this town, but none of them hold a candle to Tuesday nights at this two-story, predominantly lesbian bar. Enjoy the go-go and line dancing all you want, but it is the burlesque queens and drag kings that truly rule. — CG
