Here's The Video The Mavericks Used to Try to Woo Dwight Howard.

In a reflective, this-is-not-the-end-of-the-world entry posted to his BlogMaverick site this weekend, outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban revealed that part of his team's efforts in courting Dwight Howard this offseason included the comic book-inspired video you can watch below.

Obviously, there was more to the three-hour pitch Cuban, Donnie Nelson and Dirk Nowitzki made to the notably Superman-obsessed Howard. But the video's nonetheless the big takeaway from Cuban's post.

And, hey, it is kinda cute. But it also kinda didn't work.

Oh well. At least area businesses saved some scratch by Howard picking Houston over the Mavs.
