Arlington's Todrick Hall Keeps His Viral Streak Going.

Chalk up another one for Internet personality, rising entertainer and Arlington native Todrick Hall, who, after scoring a major viral hit last year, has spent his 2013 summer doing much of the same. Only, well, twice as well.

Two new videos Hall has posted online in recent weeks are beginning to make the social media rounds — and in a big way. The most recent of these clips is a parody song called “#SplitsOnTrees,” which has earned over 100,000 views in its first week on Youtube. The music video, which begs listeners to participate in the newest and perhaps most-challenging form of twerking that we've seen to date, is a spinoff of sort, stemming from a punchline in Hall's May 30-posted clip “Mean Gurlz.”

A clear talent, Hall has generated his mostly garnered his impressive Internet celebrity by shining a comedic light on his ghetto fabulous roots through a whole slew of YouTube musical parodies. The performer has plenty of other credits, too — from performing as a dancer in a touring The Color Purple to being a Top 16 finalist in the ninth season of American Idol — but it was his ghetto-fied rendition of the opening scene from Disney's Beauty and The Beast that really put him on the map just last year.

As for his latest Internet-adored efforts, well, we're not really sure how or why we should be doing #SplitsOnTrees. But, after watching his video a few times, we;re kinda willing to take our relationship with nature to the next level ourselves.
