Scenes From Scissor Sistors Frontman Jake Shears' Saturday Night It'll Do Set.

Jake Shears, the lead male vocalist for Scissor Sisters, stopped through town for a set at the It'll Do on Saturday night, and, in the process, he let the city have it.

Oh, and, just to be clear: By “it,” I mean everything.

Shears is an accomplished dude, but, notably, he's accomplished on various fronts. He's not just a pop singer; he's got ears for a number of genres, and his DJ set on Saturday night showed off the reason why he's become a go-to collaborator for such luminaries as Tiga, Kylie Minogue, Erasure, and countless others.

There was a touch of disco here, a little electroclash there, and nothing but a party throughout.

Speaking of partying: The fashions and faces on display on this night were as diverse as the music being played. Straights and gays congregated under this one roof in perfect harmony and with nary a worry in the world at this affair. The power of music runs deep, y'all, and the joy of hedonistic New York sounds brought out some of Dallas' best in glamour and fierceness on this night.

Saturday night, they say, was made for living. And, on this Saturday night in particular, Dallas truly lived it up.
