Witness an Internet Meme in the Flesh.

This is a pretty stacked Wednesday, you guys. There's all sorts of stuff happening.

Remember the Harlem Shake? Yep, that's how fast these Internet memes come and go, but, tonight, the man behind the soundtrack to the short-lived sensation, Baauer, is in town and sharing the stage with foul-mouthed rapper Danny Brown.

And that's just one of the shows going on in Deep Ellum tonight.

Elsewhere, while the Mavericks are sadly nearing the end of their season, the Rangers are at the optimistic, promising early beginnings of theirs.

Now-villain Josh Hamilton might be right; maybe this isn't a baseball town. But it is a sports town. So what'll you choose? Seeing the Mavs finally lose those magnificent beards of theirs, or enjoying a few dollar hot dogs with the Rangers?

Hell, this Wednesday would make for an impressive Friday. But, alas, it's still only a Wednesday.

Deal with it.

Baauer and Danny Brown at Trees
Overnight viral sensation and three-week Billboard pop chart-topper Baauer comes to town tonight still riding the wave of those immensely popular “Harlem Shake” YouTube videos featuring his track of the same name. Don't be too surprised if he doesn't play his internet meme of a track, though; the 23-year-old DJ didn't perform “Harlem Shake” at any of his South by Southwest shows. Oh, well. It's not the real Harlem Shake anyway. Far more likely to crowd-please is Detroit rapper and co-headliner Danny Brown, who's got a hotly anticipated new album called Old on the way soon.

Colleen Green at The Crown and Harp
DIY grunge rocker Colleen Green is in town in support of her just-released album, Sock It To Me. The rest of the night's bill is rounded out with War Party, Fungi Girls, Spookeasy and Sunglasses & Sugar.

Marcus Foster at Prophet Bar
UK-based acoustic solo artist Marcus Foster is doing things a little differently on this tour. For the first time stateside, he's backed by a full band. Fans of Mumford & Sons or Glen Hansard may want to check out.

Vinyl Preservation Society at Barley House
Tonight, Vinyl Preservation Society is celebrating seconds: Come prepared to share your favorite second tracks, second singles, etc. Oh, and the appetizers are half-priced till 8 p.m.

Phoenix Suns vs. Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center
Win tonight, at one of the last home games in this disappointing season, and the Mavericks will reach their goal of attaining a .500 record and get to shave off those beards they've been sporting for far too long now. They still might miss the playoffs, but at least well all get to enjoy a good shave, right? Considering the Suns' record, it's a distinct possibility.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Texas Rangers at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington
Just before the Rangers started their three-game series with the Rays on Monday, the teams completed their first-ever trade, with Texas acquiring 28-year-old catcher Robinson Chirinos for a player to be named later. He might not make an appearance in tonight's game, you should: It's Nolan Ryan Beef Dollar Hot Dog Night!

Blood Brother, winner of both the Grand Jury Award and Audience Award for Documentaries at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Dallas Arts: A Creative Conversation at Dallas City Performance Hall
This evening, Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings will be discussing what we can do to make Dallas more of a destination for artists and creative thinkers, and a more of a fostering place for culture and creativity. The event also has a
