April 9 has traditionally been something of an historic day when it comes to putting an end to bitter wars.

On this date in 1865, General Robert E. Lee of the Confederate Army surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia to Ulysses S. Grant, the general of the Union Army, at the Appomattox Courthouse in Virginia. This ultimately put an end to the Civil War.

Also on this date, in 1970, Paul McCartney announced that he quit the Beatles. That ultimately lead to the end of the band and some diss tracks.

Tonight, meanwhile, you can fight the good fight against the working week. You've go some decent ammo, too.

“Stuffed and Unstrung” promotes itself as a live variety comedy show for adults only. Think about that: The Jim Henson Company is bringing an adult-friendly puppet show to Fort Worth.
