Dr. Temple Grandin at the Ridglea Theater
Dr. Temple Grandin is visiting Fort Worth tonight to share her amazing life story, which has already been immortalized with an HBO movie starring Claire Danes. Here's what you need to know: Although Grandin was diagnosed with autism at age two, she grew up to become a hugely influential voice in the sciences of both livestock behavior and autistic treatments. Amazing, right? Here's where it gets even better: Proceeds from tonight's talk go to The Hope Center for Autism's scholarship program, which provides hours of treatment for children diagnosed with the sometimes crippling disorder.
