The Heartfelt Documentary Sweeping Sundance Is Coming To Denton Next.

The year is young, but it's already been a good one for North Texas film.

Out in Sundance in particular, works from Dallas-based directors and production crews have been all the rage all month long. One such film, Ain't Them Bodies Saints, from director David Lowery and producers James M. Johnston and Toby Halbrooks, has been called “a wholly engrossing and impressive piece of work that the movie world will be talking about all year long.” Another, Upstream Color, from Dallas director Shane Carruth, was recently deemed by one critic as “perhaps the most polarizing movie in, well, forever.”

Now comes some more awesome Sundance-related North Texas film news — albeit from a different angle.

Denton's The Thin Line Film Festival, which will run from February 8 through 18, will serve as the Texas premiere of industry buzz, and chances are tickets to the screening will go quickly. Get yours here.
