Dorrough, Quaker City Night Hawks, Skeleton Coast Among Latest SXSW Confirms From North Texas.

Though this year's South by Southwest festival isn't set to kick off until March 12, but organizers began the lengthy process of unveiling this year's performers starting back in November, as you may recall. This morning, however, they added 479 more names to the list of the roughly 800 or so bands that they've announced up to this point.

Quite a few notable national acts that found their names added to the ever-growing roster today, too — Besnard Lakes, The Black Lips, Camera Obscura, Child Actor, Dexter Freebish, Eagles of Death Metal, Fitz and the Tantrums, French Horn Rebellion, Local Natives, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Parenthetical Girls, Tegan and Sara, The Thermals and Vampire Weekend, just to name a few.

Some of our favorite local acts were named as new editions to this year's lineup, too, pushing this year;s count of North Texas acts performing at SXSW this year to a total of 24 so far. Among the recent additions? Dorrough, Quaker City Night Hawks, The Longshots and Yung Nation.
