Blue Yourself at the Winspear Opera House.
Christmas is finally over, so either you're dying to get out of the house or you're dying to just stay in and sleep for another week or so.
Holidays are pretty draining that way.
Either way, we hope you do what you can to enjoy the rest of your holiday break from work!
(Except for you retail folks. You guys have a raw deal.)
And if you're dying to get out of the house today specifically, well, maybe you can catch one of those Christmas-opening movies like Les Miserables or Django Unchained If live-action is more your speed, maybe it's time you finally got out and saw the Blue Man Group.
Point is, you don't have to be stuck in tonight.
Blue Man Group at Winspear Opera House
Who would have thought that a variety musical act featuring three bald men covered in blue paint would become so popular, let alone popular enough to have their own show in Vegas? Well, considering that their show is as humorous, as entertaining and as percussion-filled as it is, maybe it's not a huge surprise after all. Just don't expect Tobias to show up.
Classical Open Mic at Buzzbrews
The Buzzbrews on Lemon Avenue is hosting a special holiday edition of their Classical Open Mic tonight, and ugly sweaters are encouraged. So come out, kick back and enjoy the diner atmosphere while classically trained musicians perform for your aural pleasure.
The Kimbell at 40 at the Kimbell Art Museum
In celebration of finally becoming a middle-aged art museum, the Kimbell has been running an exhibit that chronicles the accumulation of their permanent pieces. The pieces are displayed in the order that they were acquired, which is interesting, considering that most displays group similar works together instead. Catch this sooner rather than later; this exhibit ends on December 30.
