We and Parade of Flesh Are Bringing Big Freedia to Dada for New Year's Eve.
The world didn't end today! How awesome is that?
Pretty awesome, we think. Pretty terrible, though, in case you were so nervous about that happening today that you didn't plan ahead and book some New Year's Eve plans.
No worries, though. We've totally got you covered on that front. In conjunction with our friends at Parade of Flesh, we're throwing what should turn out to be quite the memorable New Year's Eve party at Club Dada on Monday, December 31.
There will be azz everywhere at this one, too: Big Freedia, New Orleans' “Queen Diva of Bounce Music” and an area favorite in the wake of appearances at 35 Denton and the Hot Wet Mess Festival in recent years, is headlining the night.
She'll have some killer local help, too, from some of the region's finest DJs and producers. Juke and slimerave purveyor Ynfynyt Scroll will be there. So, too, will party-starting Denton DJ Yeahdef. And Ocelot will be offering up its highly dance-inducing brand of house on this night, too — the act's first performance of note here in Dallas since moving back home after a dalliance in the Austin scene for the past few years.
We should be announcing another opener in the coming days, too. Once that happens, we'll release set times, too.
Here's what you need to know in the interim: The event is all ages; doors will open at 8 p.m.; and tickets are $18 in advance and $25 at the door.
Get your tickets in advance here. And RSVP for it on the event's Facebook page here, too, if you feel so inclined.
Oh, and just to be clear: You should. Check out the below clip for a taste of what this night will entail.
