Vice's Noisey Comes to Dallas, Talks Hip-Hop With Bay Bay, Tum Tum, A.Dd+ and More.
When Gentleman Jack hosted its Arts, Beats + Lyrics event at the Palladium Ballroom back in September, Vice's Noisey came to town, too. And, in the process, they took it upon themselves to document the current state of hip-hop in Dallas.
In mini-documentary style, the 8-minute-and-20-second video features a who's who of current Dallas hip-hop heavyweights — most notably DJ Hollywood Bay Bay, Dorrough, Tum Tum, A.Dd+ and Snow the Product — discussing, as they put it, the city's vibrant hip-hop and arts scene.
In the video, Dorrough's poised as the face of Dallas hip-hop, and, around that story, the rest of these Dallas stars tell their own tales of how they're trying to come up — not only in Dallas, but, hopefully beyond.
