Today, you're rolling yourself back into work after the Thanksgiving holiday, so energy levels might be a little low.

I could make the whole “your pants don't fit!” joke here, but I don't really care. Why are you wearing pants without an elastic waistband anyways? What are you, some sort of elitist?

I guess you could buy yourself some new pants, since it's Cyber Monday. Oh: Happy Cyber Monday, by the way! It's one of the two days of the year where people like to pretend they care about rampant consumerism! Because consumerism is only bad when it's organized around a calendar, right?

Otherwise, it's dope.

Anyway, it's a slow Monday, but that's OK, seeing as you're probably feeling a little slow yourself. Your best bet for something unique to do would be to check out Austin's Black Forest Fire at Rubber Gloves tonight.

Y'know, after you buy those sweatpants.

ICE! at the Gaylord Texan
This is a good event if you are either a child or an adult with child-like enthusiasm for giant ice sculptures of the animals from Dreamworks' Madagascar. Because that is what this is! Giant ice sculptures of Madagascar characters! Maybe pretend that Chris Rock is doing the voice for the zebra? I don't know,. Whatever you have to do to care about ice sculptures — do that.

Shelley Carrol's Badass Jazz is a weekly event, so if you haven't checked it out already, now's a good time to start.

$1 Tacos at Lee Harveys
A dollar doesn't really stretch as far as it used to. I mean, honestly, I was at a vending machine the other day and I had to pay $1.25 for a bag of pretzels. You know what's way better than pretzels? And also a quarter cheaper? A taco at Lee Harvey's on a Monday! Treat yourself.

Black Forest Fire at Rubber Gloves
Austin's Black Forest Fire (oddly not the name of a blues-rock group) are definitely working the dream-pop revival that we've seen in the past few years. But with added drone, Black Forest Fire manages something slightly darker, and slightly reminiscent of The Warlocks.
