You Lost Your Phone? Again?
Situation: The past weekend was kind of a blur. All you know is that you woke up Sunday morning with no cell phone. Such a terrible feeling. You looked in all your normal drunk cell phone places — the hood of your car, the freezer, your neighbor's mailbox, and the drawer you keep your ex's picture in — but it's nowhere to be found. And now it's Tuesday. It's for sure a goner.
Feelings: bummed, sad, bored.
Goal: to eat something soothing and cheap, since you're about to cough up a chunk of change for a new phone.
This whole scenario is hard on both your wallet and your heart.
What you need is a game changer.
Remember that time you swore off Ramen noodles because you ate them for 26 days straight? Well, it's time to get back on your Ramen game and enjoy a serving of Chili Cheese Ramen Pie. It's a super cheap and incredibly delicious take on the old classic, the Frito pie.
Ingredients: a package of Ramen noodles (the flavor doesn't matter because you won't be using the seasoning), some canned chili, some shredded cheese and some diced red onions
Directions:
1. Boil two cups of water.
2. Place your Ramen in the boiling water. Let stand for three minutes. Remember not to break up your Ramen before cooking. It's best left in its square block form.
3. Remove your Ramen from the water and strain.
4. Cook your chili as instructed.
5. Pour your chili over your Ramen square.
6. Cover the chili with shredded cheese and chopped onions.
7. Eat your heart out.
Try to enjoy your time of solace as you eat. Seriously: When was the last time you even ate a meal without checking your Instagram or Twitter account at least five times? It's been a while, huh? Well, embrace the change.
Then head out to buy a new phone and revert back to your old ways.
