Rags Likes Kitchen Towels and Laurence Fishburne Films.
Each week, we're teaming up with our friends at The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas (SPCA of Texas) to showcase a different animal that's in need of a loving home. We'll check out the animal, learn about its personality, do a short “interview,” take some cute pictures, and report back to you on our findings. If any of the animals shown are to your liking, remember: They need a loving home free from abuse, and you could be that person to help. This week, we met up with Rags, a cute 32-pound terrier (who is not expected to grow any further and has already been spayed) that's currently up for adoption at the Dallas chapter of the SPCA of Texas (2400 Lone Star Drive, 214-742-7722).
So, Rags. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?
I'm about 10 months old.
What are some of your hobbies?
I'm an active girl, so jogging is important to me. I'm also a member of the Laurence Fishburne fan club. Oh, and I like chewing things. A lot.
What are five things you would bring with you if you were dropped off on deserted island alone?
I guess I would just take the five things I could never live without: kitchen towels, Kool-Aid mix, my signed DVD of Boyz n the Hood, my stuffed teddy bear and a Jenga set.
What would your ideal last meal be?
I'd probably have to go with my mother's homemade chicken fried steak with collard greens, mashed potatoes and creamed gravy. With some dish towels to chew on for dessert.
Could you sum up your personality for us in a couple of words?
Lovable and energetic!
