While we typically lay out an array of events to choose between, today is a little different. How so? For once, somebody with a free enough schedule and plenty of dedication can make it out to all of tonight's events. Start out the afternoon eating Frito pie at the State Fair before heading over to Greenville Avenue for a Good Records in-store. Then it's off to check out a Dallas Cowboys watching party. And then? Why, how about a nightcap with Soviet?

Just think of the suspense that would arise week to week as viewers tune in to see which member will be asked to leave the proverbial island! In this week's episode, the band gets a new weekly residency at The Crown & Harp and gives away free copies of their new demo.
Will Johnson at Good Records
The Centro-matic frontman's latest appearance on Good Record's AstorTurf stage comes as part of a release party the store is holding to celebrate his latest release. Scorpion marks the songwriter's first solo release in eight years.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears watching party at Sundown
The Bears, who have one of the toughest defensive lines in the NFC, currently lead the league in sacks. Conversely, the Cowboys' offensive line has been getting QB Tony Romo killed all season. But the abysmal play of Bears QB Jay Cutler so far this season should guarantee a close, albeit low-scoring, match-up.
World Record Frito Pie record-breaking attempt at State Fair of Texas
Bix Tex may stand roughly 10 times taller than the average human, but the traditional Texas grub being assembled at his feet today would be too much for even him to handle. To commemorate their 80th anniversary, Fritos brand corn chips will be assembling a 1,200-pound Frito pie as part of a Guinness World Record attempt. Nearby, the Tums folks will be uncapping a 96-foot-tall bottle of their own.
