We're really not huge fans of the phrase “case of the Mondays,” but if ever a day deserved such a pitiful label, it would be this one that kicks off the first full week back following last week's holiday-shortened work week. Atlanta Alabama rap duo G-Side have been ushering in a new version of southern hip-hop that no longer necessitates the “dirty south” descriptor. The Mohicans and Original Soul open.

It's no secret how we feel about the quintessential yacht rock duo and poster boys of all things smooth. We even had a Hall & Oates cover band headline our six-month anniversary party a few weeks ago. Though John Oates did a solo set at Fort Worth's Live Oak Music Hall recently, it's been seven years since the duo have performed together in DFW.
