Fried Jambalaya, Fried Bacon Cinnamon Roll Win Top Honors at State Fair's Big Tex Choice Awards

Most everyone loves Labor Day. Rightfully so: For most of us, it means a day off from work and a long weekend to boot. But, the finalist foods sound appealing to you, the good news is that you have options when it comes to eating at the Fair.

In addition to announcing this year's fried food champions, the State Fair also announced this morning the newest additions to their food menu.

Here are some more of the non-finalist fried items you can try this 2012 season: Cup of Trash (basically a Sloppy Joe); Deep Fried Baked Potato; Deep Fried Chicken and Waffle; Deep Fried Red Velvet Cupcake; El Dogito On a Stick (sausage, cheese and jalapenos); Fried Cotton Candy; Fried Cow Patty (chocolate cake batter and other chocolates combined); Fried Sugar; Fried Sugar Cubes; Shrimp Quesadillas; West Texas Fried Apple Pie; Potato Twist; Pulled Pork Sliders; Chocolate Candy-Coated Bacon; Fried Kitty Kats (Kit-Kat bars).
