Datahowler Gives Us A Sneak Peak of His New Projection Setup.
This Saturday night at Life in Deep Ellum, Art Conspiracy will host their fundraising event, RZN8. Kirby Brown, Spookeasy and Home by Hovercraft will all play the main stage. Meanwhile, out in the lounge area, Datahowler will offer up what should be pretty a special performance from Datahowler, as it will be the first time anyone has a chance to see his new live projection setup.
What makes it any different than the ones everybody else uses? Well, lots of complicated programming, plus a ton of other stuff we barely understand. What we do know is this: He's got a four-and-a-half-foot tall, three-dimensional, pyramid setup that he's projecting onto and that his projections have been mapped out to be different for each facet of the pyramid.
Sounds pretty magical right? What's even cooler is that Datahowler manipulates all of his display controllers live.
Oh, and he'll also beperforming new tracks from his upcoming release, Crystal Gazers, at this event. Keep an eye out for more announcements about that next week. And, in the meantime, take a look at the below video embed for a preview of what Datahowler has in store for his show this weekend.
