Get Initiated With Bunny Gang.
The rest of the week is more suited to high-energy events and debauchery, but Monday is the day when you need to get yourself settled for the week ahead. With that in mind, half-priced food, cheap drinks and a little jazz sound like a pretty sweet way to relax before the Tuesday-through-Friday beat you down.
Half-Priced Food at Barcadia
If you're like me, you don't own a house and you only floss your teeth right after seeing the dentist (which is never, because you don't have dental insurance). People like us (read: financially unstable people) need some half-priced food every once in a while, and Barcadia is answering your stomach growls with an offer you'd be pretty dense to refuse tonight.
Bunny Gang at House of Blues
Bunny Gang is not actually a literal bunny gang, which is slightly disappointing. Think of the feats you could accomplish if you trained rabbits to do your criminal bidding, and then toured the country, charging hapless folks to see your band of bunny ne'er-do-wells while robbing them for the second time (the first time is from Ticketmaster)! While that Bunny Gang is just my own personal pipe dream, this Bunny Gang is the band of Celtic punk-rocker Nathen Maxwell, also of Flogging Molly.
Bellini Fest at Patrizio
When it's this hot outside, the words “frozen peach bellini” sound pretty awesome. If you add “for one dollar,” it becomes amazing.
Badass Jazz at Amsterdam Bar
Unlike most music events, jazz seems perfectly suited to the Monday night cool-down after a long day of work. That's what makes it so badass.
