Do It Animal Style With Neon Trees Tonight At Cambridge Room.
A long while back, we proclaimed Thursdays the new Fridays. But, seriously, can't we try to spread it out a little? Come on, promoters and event planners: Let's get some Tuesday night stuff going on. Personally, it's the night we feel most inclined to go out and rage. In all fairness, however, there are a few ways to make tonight entertaining — if, like us, you like to go out on weeknights, too.
Dallas Comedy House Open Mic
Here's another great first date suggestion: Take your partner to the Dallas Comedy House for their weekly open mic night events. Not only is it free (score!), but they also have booze available to help loosen you two up. It will also serve as a pretty good indicator of whether your date is high maintenance, how well they deal with awkward situations and whether they have a good sense of humor.
Neon Trees at Cambridge Room
Supposedly, Neon Trees named themselves after the sign at In-N-Out Burger. Silly as that sounds, it's better than their second choice, Bic Mac & The Baconators. Maybe their biggest hit, “Animal,” was named after their favorite style of In-N-Out burger, too? Dunno.

For her latest exhibit, Courtney Miles presents herself as a celebrity, not only hoping to question the dichotomy between self-promotion and privacy but also the balance between artifice and reality. In doing so, she sort of proves Warhol's theory that everyone will be famous for 15 minutes.
Half-priced food at Anvil Pub
Our mom always told us not to play with our food, but we can't help but make a game out of just about everything we ever do. So here's a pro tip: For just 50 cents extra, the staff at Anvil will load up one slice of your pizza with all the hottest peppers and spices they have in the kitchen. Here's the rub: They don't tell you which slice is loaded with the quote-unquote roulette bullet.
