Tonight's the launch of the 11th Annual Asian Film Festival of Dallas, a week-long event at the Landmark Magnolia Theater featuring an impressive number of Asian and Asian-American Films, including the crime drama Nightfall and a super-scary collection of horror short films. If you're in the mood for a classic American film, Bonnie and Clyde will be showing at the DMA. Other than that, 311 will be returning to Gexa Energy Pavillion and Cinderella (the band, not the woman who has mice dress her in the morning) will play at House of Blues.

This classic Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway movie is one of the first films that popularized sex and violence at the theater. Clyde finds Bonnie as a waitress, and she decides to give up taking orders for a (rather unsuccessful) life of crime with him.
Asian Film Festival of Dallas
The Asian Film Festival of Dallas is the South's largest film showing of Asian and Asian-American works. The event lasts from today until July 19 and will be showing dozens of Asian Films. Tonight, it kicks off with Takashi Miike's Ace Attorney, a videogame adaptation and murder mystery.
311 at Gexa Energy Pavillion
Perhaps best known for their triple-platinum self-titled album, 311 has managed to keep their enormous fanbase through constant radio play and extremely long concerts. Even though genres like “rap-rock” aren't exactly en vogue right now, one of 311's more recent albums, Uplifter, still charted on the Billboard Top 200.
Cinderella at House of Blues
I will always remember Cinderella as the '80s glam metal band that recorded the scratchy-throat ballad “Don't Know What You've Got (Till It's Gone),” but in recent years they've distanced themselves from their glittery image and dipped their toes into blues rock. It's not been easy for them since their '80s heyday. The band's popularity waned in the '90s, and in 1999 they were unceremoniously dropped from Sony Records. Recently, they've embraced their headband-wearing past, opening for fellow eyeliner-clad fiend Bret Michaels.
