Weeks After The Spot's Sixth Anniversary, The W Announces That Ghostbar Will Be Closing.

Buried in this Dallas Morning News report about the closing of The W hotel's Craft Dallas restaurant is the news that the W's other high-end offering, Ghostbar, will also be closing this month.

On the one hand, it's a surprising announcement: The high-end club located on the 33rd floor of the hotel just celebrated its sixth anniversary last month, hosting LMFAO (after the party-rockin' outfit finished up their American Airlines Center set that same night) and Dallas production duo Play-N-Skillz in the process.

On the other hand, when was the last time you heard of someone clamoring to go hang out at Ghsotbar?

Seriously, it's almost surprising that the place hasn't closed earlier.

Nonetheless, it's an interesting reveal — and that was some prime real estate that the club was sitting on — so we've got a call into N9ne Group, the organization behind Ghostbar, to find out some more details on why the spot is closing and what can be expected to fill the club's shoes next.

We'll keep you posted on what we hear.
