The Black Keys File A Lawsuit Against The Plano-Based Pizza Hut.

The Black Keys are clearly Domino's guys.

Late last week in Los Angeles court, the Ohio-bred duo and producer Danger Mouse filed a joint lawsuit against the Plano-based Pizza Hut chain.

The suit claims that recent television spots promoting the company's “cheesy bites” offerings “prominently [feature] significant portions” of their El Camino track, “Gold on the Ceiling” without authorization.

In a separate filing, the recently litigious rockers and their producer, who have sold over 800,000 copies of El Camino since December 2011, also took issue with the Home Depot for allegedly using their “Lonely Boy” song in a similar manner.

Each filing claims that the usage of these songs was “a brazen and improper effort to capitalize on plaintiffs' hard-earned success.”

The Plano-based Pizza Hut employs more than 30,000 people internationally, including, at one point, Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings, who served as the company's CEO before taking up his post at City Hall.
