You hear all sorts of things about Bolsa.

“It's fresh.”

“They bring the ingredients from farm to table.”

“The menu changes frequently.”

“That place is sooooooooo coooooool.”

But, honestly, does it live up to the hype? Honestly, yes. And not just at dinner, where this place has built its name as a hotspot. Bolsa earns dinner scores for its food and service during the lunch power hour, too.

If you have never been to Bolsa, know this: The place just has a great vibe. It's decorated nicely, the waitstaff is laid back and knowledgeable as to the food and ingredients. The set up is unique, too: There are an equal number of inside and outside tables, they have screens outside on the patio so you aren't bothered by the bugs and the seating outside is comfortable. The only problem? The tables can get uneven because of the flooring. But what do you expect from stone? You can expect more from the bruschetta tasting, which features four types of bruschetta and is enough to basically share for lunch with one more item to share. It's large and priced fairly at $14. And the varieties are all unique in taste. They really excited the palate. Evan's Farm Burger with Vermont white chedder and a side of kettle chips — $11 for the burger and $2 extra for the chips — makes for a nice option, too, as it comes with a free side salad. Bolsa doesn't get too much shine for its burger, but maybe it should: It was cooked perfectly, large and somewhat greasy.

Point is, if you can't make it out to Bolsa for dinner, try it out for lunch. A place like this shouldn't be missed.
