Get The Jump On Your 4/29 – 5/5 Plans.
Though not quite as ridiculous as last week, there are still plenty of great concerts coming to town this week, capped off by megaphone lungs of baroque popstress Florence + the Machine, Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding, '90s cowpunks Social Distortion and indie darlings Death Cab For Cutie. And we imagine just about everybody in town will be trying to get into that Sarah Jaffe show on Saturday.
Also, beyond their weekly Tuesday night tradition of showing truly terrible films, the folks at Texas Theatre are showing that re-vamped sing-a-long edition of Grease a couple nights this week. Go ahead and sing as loud as you want. We promise you won't get shushed.
