Get The Jump On Your 4/29 – 5/5 Plans.

Though not quite as ridiculous as last week, there are still plenty of great concerts coming to town this week, capped off by megaphone lungs of baroque popstress Florence + the Machine, Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding, '90s cowpunks Social Distortion and indie darlings Death Cab For Cutie. And we imagine just about everybody in town will be trying to get into that Sarah Jaffe show on Saturday.

Also, beyond their weekly Tuesday night tradition of showing truly terrible films, the folks at Texas Theatre are showing that re-vamped sing-a-long edition of Grease a couple nights this week. Go ahead and sing as loud as you want. We promise you won't get shushed.

Sunday (4.29)
Rummage Roundup at Dallas Market Center
Pay just $5 for as many things as you can stuff into a bag.

Monday (4.30)
Badass Jazz at Amsterdam Bar
Still one of the best weeklies in town.

Tuesday (5.1)
Florence + the Machine at Palladium Ballroom
Shake it up!

Esperanza Spalding at House of Blues
First jazz artist to win the Best New Artist Grammy.

Tuesday Night Trash at Texas Theatre
Badly dubbed vocals help make Golden Queen's Commando so tacky.

Wednesday (5.2)
Social Distortion at House of Blues
Rad!

Thursday (5.3)
The Better Doctor at The Nest
On Thursdays, the silent play is pay-what-you-want.

Death Cab For Cutie at McFarlin Auditorium
Start making plans.

Sing-a-Long Grease at Texas Theatre
The musical has been revamped with playful subtitles during the musical numbers, so we guarantee you won't be the only one in the theater singing along this time out.

Friday (5.4)
Anthony Jeselnik at Addison Improv
The best hair in stand-up.

Saturday (5.5)
Sarah Jaffe, Zhora, John Singer Sargent at Granada
The hottest nationally-buzzing artist from Dallas headlines a bill feature two more of the hottest local acts going.
