Back From Tour, DJ Sober and A.Dd+ Return To Big Bang! at Beauty Bar.

With DJ Sober and A.Dd+ out on the road for the past month to take part in their first-ever national tour, Beauty Bar's hyper-popular Thursday night weekly, Big Bang!, had taken on a different feel of late.

Makes sense: Sober, the DJ behind the event, was unavailable to make his own party, and replacement DJs had to step in to fill the void week after week. The event didn't necessarily suffer during this time — the replacement DJs were among some of the best in the city and the turnouts remained strong — but it did feel different.

And that's why last night's event — Sober's first back on the decks since getting home — felt like such a celebration. Rappers, scenesters, media types and just plain old-fashioned revelers were all there to welcome the old gang home — so many, in fact that, by midnight, a line had formed to just to get into the club.

Yup, it felt like a usual Thursday night on Henderson Avenue again.
