It's Going To Be A Black Metal Monday At Sons Of Hermann Hall.
It's easy to see how last week's glut of awesome shows can lead to a pretty severe case of burnout. But if you've somehow managed to pace yourselves sonically, there are plenty of killer shows still going on around town tonight.

Originally, this all-out onslaught of a lineup was supposed to take place at Queen City Hall. Sure, it would have been more fitting to catch acts like Nachtmystium, Alcest, The Atlas Moth, Hull, Mutiliation Rites, and Bruce Lamont at what's perhaps the most punk place in town to catch a show. But the move just means more people get to take in the aural annihilation.
Nico Vega at Prophet Bar
Nico Vega is not the name of any one member of this L.A. alterna-punk trio, but their frontwoman Aja Volkman has garnered frequent comparisons to Karen O, Joan Jett, and Janis Joplin. In other words: She's got that ballsy, assertive, strong female presence thing down pat.
Half-price food at Barcadia
After 35D, SXSW, and yesterday's Bro Fest, we are officially tapped. Good thing Barcadia always has our backs with half-price food Mondays. And the all-night happy hour isn't too shabby either.
Today the Moon Tomorrow the Sun at La Grange
One of the only positive experiences we had at this year's SXSW festival in Austin was accidentally stumbling into an unassuming little place called Hole in the Wall just trying to make last call. Inside, we discovered the fuzzy electro dance-rock of Atlanta's Today the Moon Tomorrow the Sun playing the last few songs of their set. As exhausted as we were from the marathon day of drinking and head-rattling shows that is SXSW, we totally dug them enough to contort wildly along.
Half-price sushi at Zen Sushi
The only complaints we've ever heard about Zen Sushi is that it can tend to be a bit pricey. That's why we like to hit up the Bishop Arts spot on Monday's when select rolls are half price.
