After Tonight, Your Next Chance For A Leap Day Libertine Beer Dinner Is Four Years Away.
We thought Dallasites looked for any possible excuse to go out and drink. Doesn't anybody know it is Leap Day? Where are all the huge Leap Day blowouts? Where are the parades and debaucherous midweek festivities? Don't people realize this day comes but once every four years? We digress. In lieu of any killer concerts tonight, Dallas turns its sights to eating. And, luckily, we're a town full of good food, whether you prefer half-price bar food at La Grange or five-course dinners or wine pairings at the Dallas Arboretum.
Beer Dinner at The Libertine
Five of the new Deep Ellum Brewery Co. beers will be paired with five courses created by Libertine head chef Roe DiLeo. ($50 per person, reservations required.)
Food Truck Happy Hour at Sigel's
Thank goodness for leap year, which means there's an extra Wednesday in February this year. In other words: That's one more bonus opportunity to hit up the food truck happy hour in which food trucks Rock and Roll Tacos, Ruthie's Rolling Cafe, and Easy Slider will be parked in the Sigel's parking lot at 5757 Greenville Avenue.

We're not usually the first in line to check out musicals, but this one sounds so offbeat/potentially hilarious, we're kind of into it. You have to respect anyone who can set tales of Manson's exploits to musical theater.

When we first heard the Golden Corral was adding steak to their all-you-can-eat buffet our response was, “Yeah, but it's still Golden Corral.” The idea of endless steak just sounds dicey to us. But somehow we are guessing this is not the case with Chef DC's offerings at the historic Lakewood Theater.
