Local Show Promoter Mike Ziemer Defends His Nude Pics Leaking Onto The Internet.
No one doubts that Is Anyone Up?, the pornographic site dedicated to posting nude pictures of mall punk musicians and their fans, is anything less than the “pure evil” that it so proudly tags itself as being. But when the site, what with its dedicated following, posts an item about someone in the local scene, that sense is only magnified.
Back in December, Is Anyone Up? site manager (and hater of pictures that don't include “butt holes”) Hunter Moore posted a series of cell phone photos depicting Dallas-area show promoter Mike Ziemer of Third String productions' genitalia. (See the very NSFW photos here, if you dare.) Turns out, it wasn't Ziemer's first time popping up on the site, either; this latest crop was a re-posting of photos originally posted in June — photos that Ziemer says he took in 2006 when he was “dumb and 20 [years old]” and that he'd sent to his friend at the time, well before Is Anyone Up? ever existed.
“There's nothing I can do about it,” Ziemer says now of the photos. “That's the one and only time I've ever done that. I mean, I'd rather not ever have that on the Internet, but if you can't laugh at yourself for the dumb things you've done, people will just keep getting to you.”
Ziemer says that, for a time, he had some mutual friends of his and Moore's trying to ask Is Anyone Up? to remove the photos, but that those moves proved unsuccessful.
“His legacy will be ruining lives and being an asshole,” Ziemer says. “I feel sorry for him.”
Not sorry enough to give Moore a second chance, however. Ziemer believes that the photos resurfaced in December because Moore had reached out to Ziemer about DJing at his annual Third String Productions event, Unsilent Night, only to have Ziemer refuse the offer.
“That probably sparked the re-post,” Ziemer admits. “I hate that dude and his site and what it stands for. Band dudes is one thing, but people lose jobs and he just laughs. He's a piece of shit and I'm willing to bet karma is gonna get him bad.”
