Looks Like Radiolab Will Be The Latest NPR Program To Visit North Texas.

Since 2007, Jad Abumrad and Robert Krulwich have hosted WNYC's Radiolab program, and in that time they've turned us on to the musical patterns hidden within our daily speech, taught us what our dog was really thinking, and made us completely re-think the manner in which we view the humanly construct of time.

Their unique blend of production value, human interest stories, and scientific explanation from experts in the field has helped make their show one of the most creative and interesting programs in the country -- and has earned them nearly 2 million listeners each week in the process.

Now, following in the footsteps of fellow NPR programs Wait Waitâ€Â¦ Don't Tell Me, A Way With Words, and This American Life -- each of which has already visited town this year -- Jad and Robert are bringing their Radiolab Live program to the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie on November 4.

According to the duo's website, their "Apocalpytical" show will focus on demises of both the mercifully quick and painfully slow sort, as told through their signature blend of storytelling and science, and with the help of Brooklyn guitarist and composer Sarah Lipstate.

Tickets will go on sale at 3 p.m. this afternoon for KERA members only, and Wednesday June 19 for the general public.
