Make Your Dreams Come True Tonight With Hall & Oates.
By Cory on Monday September 10 2012 at 7:49 AM
We're really not huge fans of the phrase "case of the Mondays," but if ever a day deserved such a pitiful label, it would be this one that kicks off the first full week back following last week's holiday-shortened work week. On the other hand, if ever there were a surefire cure for even the worst case of the Mondays, it would have to be just knowing that Hall & Oates lies in your future tonight.
G-Side at Dada
Local bookers Parade of Flesh don't often delve into hip-hop territory, but when they do it's always something quality.
Atlanta Alabama rap duo G-Side have been ushering in a new version of southern hip-hop that no longer necessitates the "dirty south" descriptor. The Mohicans and Original Soul open.
Hall & Oates at Allen Event Center
It's no secret how we feel about the quintessential yacht rock duo and poster boys of all things smooth. We even had a Hall & Oates cover band headline our six-month anniversary party a few weeks ago. Though John Oates did a solo set at Fort Worth's Live Oak Music Hall recently, it's been seven years since the duo have performed together in DFW.
Geeks Who Drink pub quiz at House of Blues
Tonight's quiz is entirely Harry Potter-themed. So, if you've got any idea why Harry lost the idea to speak Parseltongue, why he and Ron will never read Hogwarts, A History or what Voldemort's name translates to in French, you've got a good shot at winning some free booze tonight.
Titanic 3D at Studio Movie Grill
You saw it 14 times in theaters as a tween, so what's the big deal about adding another Titanic viewing to your list of life experiences? They've improved it by converting the thing to 3D, but they've yet to figure out a way to ditch "My Heart Will Go On." Either way, they're showing it tonight for just a buck.
